Talking to your partner about HPV

It is not always easy to talk to your partner about sexual issues.

The HPV virus is very contagious, especially if you have any skin-to-skin sexual contact with more than one sexual partners – so asking questions and getting answers is important.

The HPV virus is preventable. Let your partner know what you have learned about the HPV virus, how it is transmitted, how it can be prevented, how to get treated for genital or anal warts.

You need to let your partner know three simple messages:

  • You can get HPV from anal and genital sexual contact without penetration.
  • The HPV virus can cause anal and genital warts.
  • High risk types of HPV cause most cervical, anal and other genital cancers.

Spread the word, not the disease. Send your partner and your friends a link to this web site.
