The Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is a hot-button health concern right now. As school-based immunization programs are rolled out across Canada, young people and their parents have plenty of questions.

The Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC) can help you provide the answers. Our multidisciplinary team has created a comprehensive, authoritative, and medically sound HPV Toolkit. Teachers and public health professionals will feel confident when providing answers about prevention, vaccination, screening, diagnosis, and treatment of HPV and related issues.

In Canada it is estimated that 2% of sexually active young women have genital warts and that the prevalence for cancer-causing types of HPV in different groups of females ranges from 11% to 25%.
