HPV INFO FOR HEALTH-CARE PROFESSIONALS
Through this web site, the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (SOGC) provides information and materials to help you discuss issues related to HPV with your patients and their families.
The SOGC of Canada has collaborated with six other medical associations to develop comprehensive clinical guidelines on the screening, diagnosis and treatment of the HPV virus.
The guideline includes information on the prevention of HPV, including the therapeutic and prophylactic administration of the one vaccine that is currently available. The guideline also covers screening for cervical cancer, treatment of genital warts, cost-benefit analysis of HPV vaccination, and patient counselling.
